A New Apartment By Any Other Name

Hey folks!

Sorry if I've been a little remiss on updating lately. The reason is because I've been moving, and I'm now (almost) settled into my new apartment with good ol' M-bito from school. He's an awesome guy, and I'm really enjoying living with him so far, even though I only see him at night since he works full-time. (And lest you think I'm just trying to get on his good side, I don't even think he reads this blog, so my compliments to him are entirely unsolicited.)

I'm lovin' it so far. The thing is, I decided that we need to come up with a name for our apartment, a la the Train Station or Graceland (the name of Don Miller's community). Since our apartment complex is named Rose Pointe, I thought perhaps something with the word "rose" in it could be cool. It doesn't need to have deep, meaningful or spiritual significance, necessarily, it just needs to sound cool. Any ideas?

P.S. I just hooked up our new wireless router, so now we have wireless internet in our apartment (yay!). I named our network "Rose CounterPointe." Get it, "point counterpoint," "Rose Pointe," ... haha?

The more pressing question is, how many people DO read this blog?

Anyway, the first things that come to mind when I hear "rose" are Lifehouse's Beauty and the Beast and U2's One Step Closer. Neither of which would lend much insight to the question, I don't think.

You could always go with something stupid like "Rosebush," but I don't think that's quite what you want . . . it also occurs to me that there's a song in Bye Bye Birdie entitled "Spanish Rose" that takes place in Maude's Bar, so you could call it "Maude's Bar" . . .

And in U2's song "In God's Country," there's a line that says: "Desert rose/Dreamed I saw a desert rose," so you could call it God's Country . . .

Or perhaps you could find a way to do something based on "A Rose by any other name would smell as sweet" . . . The No-Name Apartment . . .

The possibilities are endless . . .

Reading in bulk myself. so O.K. brainstorm (take cover) Faulkner's short story "A Rose for Emily" freaky The movie "The Name of The Rose" medieval monks Since you blog about your life you could call it,"The Highs and Rose" (i didn't say they would all be good)Of course, u could make it a little more hip by simply calling it Hizen Rose gotta get 2 work more later if u can stand it

Part 2 I wrote a poem once entitled,"Cold Rose" playing on the flower and the fact that heat rises, not cold. It was kinda victory thru depression sort of thing. You know I can't write anything that isn't a bit of a downer. It's always raining in my stuff. hey let me know if your getting any of this
